Camping in Moab & Dead Horse Point

Azaléia had her first real camping adventure in Moab Father's Day weekend and she loved it! Thanks Grandpa for letting us borrow the tent and sleeping bags.
After setting up camp we headed straight to Dead Horse Point
We had such a great time being together as a family
Apparently cowboys used to round up wild horses in this cliff area...and had left some there to die...thus the name...Dead Horse Point.
It was really neat to see the landscape. It's amazing what mother nature has done!
Azaléia loved being outside
quality time together as a family
a perfect Father's Day weekend
We LOVED Moab!
After Dead Horse Point we swam at the ArchView Campgound and got ready to walk downtown. The weather was so nice...it was perfect for a stroll down main street. We found a great Italian restaurant...Pasta Jays...and loved our meals. We highly recommend going! There were tourists there from all over the world...so many French men...and we loved talking to all of them. Moab doesn't feel anything like Utah...and for only being 3-4 hours away...it felt like a great vacation!
