Super Special Weekend with Ella

We had a super special weekend with my brother Luke's family in March.  My niece Ella turned 8 years old and was baptized a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  Attending baptisms always reminds me of my own baptism day and my decision to follow Jesus Christ actively, every day.
We are so happy for Ella and for this very special decision she made.  She has been reading the scriptures just about every day this last year in preparation.  It was a special baptismal service with many friends and family members there.  My dad gave a talk on Baptism and it was tender and sweet.

She called us a few weeks earlier to invite us to come...and to invite me to give a talk on receiving the Holy Ghost.  I thought a lot about how to help her understand how much the Holy Ghost will help her every day...and since my brother is her soccer coach...I talked about how the Holy Ghost helps us like a coach to make it to our Heavenly goal of returning to our Heavenly Father's presence.
We loved being a part of her special day!  We love you Ella!

The weekend our her baptism was a busy one.  We attended soccer and basketball games for Ella, Logan, and little Bitsy.  It was so much fun to watch them and we can't wait for Azaleia to play too!

Grandpa loved playing with his grand kids and kept telling us that he was in Grandpa Heaven!
