We had a lovely Thanksgiving in Georgia at our little home. Azaleia's hand foot and mouth kept us here, not in Louisiana with my parents and a few siblings...which was hard...but it was okay in the end. I wasn't feeling too happy about life...so Ernesto made almost all of the food. He is amazing! He cooked the turkey, the stuffing, the green bean yumminess, the corn, and the sweet potato yumminess. Yumminess means casserole type thingy...both of which were delicious. He offered to go out to eat...but then I wouldn't have eaten my granny's traditional red cabbage dish, which I made the day before...which I have to make every year for Thanksgiving. If you can't have extended family...you have to have red cabbage...it's tradition. :) Ernesto was in his last week of classes...so most of his friends didn't travel to visit family either...thus we had a few of his friends over for a Thanksgiving feast. He has nice friends. Everyone brought something to contribute and we all finished dinner very satisfied.
Even though life has some set backs...I am thankful for the happy day we had. My sweet sister-in-law sent us the beautiful pumpkin flower table setting...to let us know the family was thinking about us all alone in Georgia...and it was received with a very grateful heart and some tears. Thanks Stephie!
Before everyone came over we made the table setting cards...using colored stamp pads and Azaleia's thumb to make the turkey feathers...and Ernesto's thumb and pinkie to make the turkey body and head. We loved the way they turned out...and we all had fun preparing for a special time together as a family.
Big thank you too to my loving husband who makes my life better everyday!

Sorry about the hand foot and mouth my girls have had that a couple of times it is the worst. Sorry it messed with your plans, that is always a bummer. Looks like your sweet husband came to the rescue. Glad in spite of everything you had a nice day with friends and your sweet family.
