Atlanta's Aquarium - Fantastic!

Welcome to our Christmas Staycation!  Thank you to Granny for her Christmas money...as it allowed us to go for a family day to the Aquarium!  It was a FANTASTIC experience!
 First area to discover and admire...Tropical Reef

 I fell in love with all the brightly colored fishes...just amazing...absolutely AMAZING how beautiful they are!

Next stop was to see first hand the largest tank in the world...roughly the size of a football field...that's crazy!
It was AMAZING once again...can you imagine...huge...and to see the fish sooo close...unreal!

 We arrived in time to see the Santa diver come and talk to us.  She told us about the animals inside...if she felt danger being there with them.  They said they keep the fishes well fed so that they don't prey on anything.  It happens occasionally...but not too often to scare them.  It really was amazing!

This is the large tunnel you could go under...in the largest tank there.  We returned for feeding time for the Whale Sharks...and that was quite exciting to see all the activity.  The Whale Sharks actually eat sea stuff smaller than a quarter...so they have to intentionally put the food right in front of them to ensure they eat enough.  It was very interesting to see!
Some of our favorite sea life creatures we saw that day!  Somethings we have thought about...sharks really do have a scary face...sea dragon is now on Ernesto's list to have at home...we love turtles...we got to see Baby Beluga (exciting) and learned that belugas will keep eating if food is around (new family motto...don't be a beluga!)...and we just loved to see that huge tank full of sea creatures...just amazing!

 Some other fun things we did...touch the sting rays and starfishes...meet Depo not to be confused with Nemo...slide down the big whale...and Azaleia's favorite little friends were the African Penguins!
