Chile: enchanting Frutillar

 Our bus from Castro to Frutillar wasn't too bad...only we arrived to Frutillar with less than 2 hours before the sun set.  We simply loved Frutillar and will return one day to relax.  It is a German themed city and it was fun to feel somewhere different.  There was Frutillar high and Frutillar low...the lower part of the city being where the lakefront is...where all the tourism is.  It is lovely and when we were there very peaceful.  Too bad once again that you can not see the volcano so well across the lake...but I imagine on a clear day this being the most beautiful place to be.  One day...one day.

 Llegamos a la ciudad de Frutillar con menos de 2 horas al puesto del sol.  Nos encanto esta ciudad con un sabor de Alemania.   Al estar al lado del lago...fue tranquilo y lindo.  Si o si tenemos que regresar!

 We are walking on the new boardwalk of the Performing Arts Center...a gorgeous place.  Behind us is the little street where everything happens.  We ate at a little German Kitchen behind us in the picture...and ate some yummy Apple Strudel and Ernesto's pick...a three layer cake with lots of chantilly frosting. 
Comimos postres ahi...hmmm...tan rico.  Caminamos mucho por el Centro de Eventos...tan lindo!

 Nestle has always spiced up the lake front area with playgrounds and this little outdoor piano...neat!
La empresa Nestle tambien ha ayudado a embellacer el lugar con jardines y con este piano.

 Azaleia liked the German dollies and musical items.  Aunt Katie would have loved it here!

 One of the churches...this one Methodist...simply pretty.

 Loved this mural underneath this gazebo...love the music engrained into their daily lives.
Nos encanto el arte abajo del techo de esta cosita...con la musica representada parte de la vida diaria.

 This is how Azaleia looked pretty much the whole week in southern Chile...boogie face needed lots of tissue!
Azaleia estaba enfermita un poco durante nuestro tiempo...con esta cara tan linda!

 The country of Germany actually donated money and efforts so that this German Museum and Gardens would be legit.  We arrived after it closed but we still got to appreciate the lovely garden areas and Germanesque homes.
El pais de Alemania dio dinero y esfuerzo para que el museo y los jardines serian bien hechos.  No entramos pero apreciamos todo...tan lindo!

 Azaleia loved picking the dandelions...blowing...and trying to force me to feed the flowers.  Too funny!
Ella le gusto mucho las flores...soplando con su papa...y esforzando me a mi a comerlas...chistosa!

 Appreciating some of my own heritage...loved it!
Mi familia viene de Alemania...me gusto mucho aprender y sentir parte!

 There are hydrangeas all over southern Chile...I couldn't get enough of them...so pretty!
Me encanta esta flor...esta por todo sur Chile.  Tan linda flor!
